Environmental Service Capabilities

The SWAT advantage is the ability to offer a full range of integrated environmental services and specialized supporting equipment within Western Canada. These services include the following:

  • Pre-site Assessments – Evaluations of wellsites and associated facilities prior to construction with full reporting for future reference with professional sign-off;
  • Environmental Field Reports – Evaluations of wellsites, facilities, and pipeline right-of-ways with reporting for regulatory submission;
  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessments – Site visit, historical review, and reporting as per documents outlined by Alberta Environment;
  • Phase II Environmental Site Assessments – Sampling protocol of subsurface investigations and reporting as per documents outlined by Alberta Environment;
  • Remedial excavations of contaminated sites – Experience in oilfield and non-oilfield excavations ranging from small to large scale with reporting to meet regulatory compliance;
  • Site reclamation supervision – Oversee earthwork by contractors to meet objectives of the Reclamation Criteria for both small and large scale projects;
  • Water well testing – Completion of qualitative and quantitative testing on domestic and commercial waterwells;
  • Wellsite reclamation certificate applications – Review of information pertaining to completion of applications for regulatory submission including professional sign-off;
  • Erosion control projects – Installation of necessary controls to mitigate erosion on select projects;
  • Water sampling – Aquatic monitoring of release situations on or near water bodies;
  • Wellsite audits – Completed several acquisition wellsite audits with quick response time for evaluations and reporting;
  • Water well surveys – Canvass landowners in determined radius of industrial applications to meet regulatory compliance;
  • Monitor well sampling – Obtaining groundwater information and samples with reporting; and
  • Waste management – Supervision and documentation of temporary storage and transport of contaminated soils.
